Now is the time to upgrade to Windows 10. In July the free upgrade option will expire and if you wait until the last minute you may have trouble accessing the web site (causing more problems for you) for the download because EVERYBODY will be doing it!

But…before you start, do the following:

  1. Make sure your current version of Windows has all the updates completed. In your search window type ‘Windows Update’ and click on the results to check your computer to see if all the current Windows updates have been completed…follow the instructions if needed.
  2. Next, turn off your AntiVirus program(s).
  3. Also, turn off any background programs or processes like flash player, Adobe updater and iTunes helper. Usually you can right click on these icons (programs) and chooses close or exit.
  4. Not as critical but, if you’re savvy enough you can be sure your drivers are updated in Device Manager.

I like Windows 10 because it’s better, more secure, more stable and user friendly!
